Bolivia Caranavi Rosita
Bolivia Caranavi Rosita
We are so thrilled to be offering our very first coffee from Bolivia! Introducing Finca Rosita, a remarkable single-origin coffee from the Illimani community in the breathtaking region of Caranavi, Bolivia. Nestled on 32 hectares solely dedicated to coffee cultivation, this farm pays tribute to Rosa Angelica Aramayo, the matriarch of the Valverde-Aramayo family.
Meticulously processed through anaerobic fermentation, the coffee cherries are sealed in oxygen-free tanks with airlocks to ensure controlled fermentation and uniform flavor development. This lot, fermented and dried in with the coffee cherry on the seeds for over 20–25 days, delivers extraordinary flavors of chocolate truffle, sangria, and cherry.
Caranavi, known as the "Bolivian Coffee Capital," boasts a vibrant coffee culture. Its town square proudly celebrates this identity, and the community thrives with coffee shops, events, and competitions. Bolivian coffee farmers, steeped in tradition yet embracing innovation, are redefining quality as a younger generation takes the reins.
Sustainably shade-grown amidst a region renowned for its citrus groves and pineapples, Finca Rosita showcases the dedication of its producers to crafting exceptional washed coffees. We are so excited to buy this coffee for the first time and we hope this is the beginning of a long term partnership through our partners at Red Fox Coffee.
