Brazil Santa Alina
Lucia Maria da Silva Dias, also known as Tuca Dias, is a dedicated and imaginative coffee producer. Together with her hardworking team at Fazenda Santa Alina, she is focused on cultivating a diverse range of high-quality coffees. The farm spans nearly 900 hectares of mostly hilly land at altitudes between 950 and 1,450 meters above sea level, with 239 hectares dedicated to coffee growing. The farm is home to 27 working families. Producing an average of 5,500 bags annually, much of their coffee comes from carefully managed micro-lots. Over the years, Fazenda Santa Alina has earned a strong reputation for consistently producing some of the finest specialty coffee in the region. In addition to coffee, the farm is home to a Eucalyptus plantation, and the rich variety of coffee plants is complemented by the many native trees, such as Cercopia, Ipês, and Palmito Juçara, that flourish throughout the property.
This is a light bodied coffee that we have roasted light-to-medium on the spectrum and we are tasting notes of cacao nibs, rainier cherry, & almonds.
This coffee comes to us from our partners at Ocafi, who gives 75% of all proceeds back to the farmgate.
