Candy Blast is our 2026 Valentineโs Day special, offered as a very limited 8oz release rather than our usual 10oz size. We purchased only a small amount of this coffee, making it a short run offering meant to be enjoyed while it lasts. This Colombian coffee is anaerobically co fermented with watermelon, resulting in impressive watermelon candy sweetness, bright citrus notes, and a delightfully juicy, expressive cup.
Produced by the Bayter family at El Vergel Estate in Tolima and sourced through Forest Coffee, this lot reflects an unusually hands on and labor intensive process. Ripe cherries are selectively harvested, fermented anaerobically for 48 hours, then depulped and co fermented for five days with yeast and watermelon before careful drying. Roasted to a balanced medium profile, the coffee stays vibrant and fruit forward while adding structure and a soft, sweet finish. It shines as filter coffee and makes a fun, dessert friendly espresso, especially alongside chocolate.
