Sweet, structured, and deeply comforting, introducing the Black Condor decaf.
Sourced through our partners at Forest Coffees in Tolima, this lot comes from El Vergel Estate, led by Elias and Shady Bayter. Grown at 1450 masl and composed of Red and Yellow Caturra, Black Condor is a washed coffee that showcases clarity and warmth in equal measure.
After harvest, ripe cherries are pulped, washed, and milled before being transported to Descafecol for sugarcane EA decaffeination. The green coffee is gently steamed and soaked in water and natural ethyl acetate derived from sugarcane. This process binds to and removes caffeine at lower temperatures and pressures, helping preserve the coffee’s inherent character. A final steam bath removes any remaining residues, resulting in a cup that is clean, expressive, and true to origin.
In the cup, expect almond and light brown sugar sweetness up front, followed by soft citrus brightness and a subtle clove spice on the finish. Balanced and smooth, this is a decaf designed for both comfort and complexity.
Perfect for espresso or filter, and especially ideal for late afternoons and slow evenings. Almond, panela, citrus, and clove come together in a decaf that drinks like the real thing.
