From the lush valleys of Kimbiri in La Convención Province, Yuraq Yaku represents the vibrant coffee culture of southern Peru. Grown at Finca Los Angeles at 1700 meters above sea level, this Yellow Bourbon is carefully harvested at peak ripeness and processed using a 24 hour washed fermentation.
Sourced through our partners at Red Fox Coffee Merchants, this lot showcases the quality and character we have come to expect from Cusco coffees. The result is a balanced and expressive cup, with rich notes of fudge brownie and baking spices complemented by bright cherry and subtle tropical fruit.
Named after the Quechua phrase for “White Water,” Yuraq Yaku reflects the energy of the nearby Apurímac River and the deep agricultural traditions of the Kimbiri district.
