Named after one of the founders of Anthem Coffee, our sourcing partner, Vaughn Neblock was also one of the founders of Folgers Coffee Company in Kansas City in 1945 at the young age 18. Haven't we always told you that the coffee world is small?

By 1958, Vaughn was the head green buyer and trained many specialty coffee pioneers. A visionary in quality control, Vaughn had a special fondness for Sumatran coffees, which is why this lot was named in his honor. Sumatran coffees, once known for being dirty and earthy, are now celebrated for their versatility, even in lighter profiles. We taste sweet notes of cran-grape and cocoa with some spicy notes of cloves.
