Colombia Holanda Caturra
Colombia Holanda Caturra
From the lush landscapes of Gaitania, Tolima, comes a remarkable Caturra lot grown by Manuel Dagua at Finca Holanda. This coffee is part of the Black Condor Project, an initiative by our partners at Forest Coffee Importers aimed at uplifting local farmers—many of whom are from indigenous communities or rebuilding their livelihoods after years of conflict and economic instability. Through education and support, these producers have transitioned from commodity coffee to high-scoring specialty lots. We are honored to partner with Forest Coffee and have written a more detailed blog about the Black Condor Project [link here].
Last summer, our Green Coffee Buyer, Gracie Lance, traveled to Colombia to visit Forest Coffee and learn more about the Black Condor Project. She also served as a judge in the inaugural Black Condor Auction, where this lot finished in 4th place—standing out among over 100 submissions. Grown at 1,750 meters and naturally processed, it develops a refined complexity with a wine-like body and vibrant tasting notes of raspberry, cocoa, and dragon fruit.
An expression of resilience and craftsmanship, Colombia Holanda Caturra is a coffee that tells a story of transformation—one sip at a time.
