We are excited to introduce our first single producer release sourced through our partners at Unblended. This coffee comes from Oscar Osorio of El Carmelo farm in Sonson, Colombia.

Grown at 1850 meters above sea level, this Castillo lot showcases a vibrant and expressive cup profile that feels right at home in the spring season. Expect a bright, fruit forward experience with notes of Honeycrisp apple, blackberry, and layered sweetness reminiscent of cane sugar.

This coffee also represents a new chapter for Oscar. Coming from a family with over 50 years of coffee growing tradition, he is now stepping into more experimental processing with intention and care. For this lot, he carried out a 110 hour extended fermentation using carefully selected cherries, allowing complex fruit character to develop before washing. The result is a clean, structured cup with both clarity and depth.

Oscar’s long term vision is to transform El Carmelo into a thriving, sustainable farm focused on exceptional specialty coffee. While he begins planting rare varietals for the future, he is already refining his craft through fermentation and processing.

This release is a reflection of both where he comes from and where he is going.
